Band Camp Schedule

Your marching band section (i.e. brass, woodwinds, percussion, auxiliary, etc.) and whether or not you have previously participated in the marching band determines the date you must report to campus. See the band camp schedule (a PDF document link below) for specific information concerning check-in times and locations.

Some returning brass and woodwind players will be invited to check out a uniform on Saturday, August 17. We do this because there is not enough time to issue all uniforms after the final roster has been posted. Candidates that receive a uniform before the final roster has been posted have NOT been guaranteed membership in the marching band and do NOT receive a competitive edge over other candidates.

Students must return uniforms to the Band Office (101 WMB) by 5:00 PM on Monday, August 19, 2024 if their name is not on the final roster.

BAND CAMP EXHIBITION

Over the past 35 plus years, the marching band has established a wonderful tradition by ending Band Camp with a FREE public performance in Memorial Stadium. It is a tremendous opportunity to celebrate the end of Band Camp and acquire performance experience in front of a large audience before the football season begins. Be sure to invite your family and all your friends! The show is Friday, August 23 at 7:00 PM in Memorial Stadium. The stadium gates open at 6:00 p.m. Due to construction inside the stadium, seating may be in the lower level of the east stadium. Enter through Gate 3 in the southwest corner or Gate 11 in the northwest corner. There is no rain-out date for this event.

Parking is available (at audience expense) in the garage on the west side of the stadium and in the city's downtown parking garages.
