Your Husker Home
On-campus housing is the ideal place to meet new people and make connections. All first-year students at NEBRASKA live on-campus, with many students continuing to do so after their first-year. Living on campus helps keep students connected, and leads to higher GPAs and better graduation rates. The halls are close to resources, events, and activities with easy access to all that campus has to offer – which helps to build a support network that’s critical to college success. Dedicated staff in the residence halls provide a caring environment where students can meet new people and connect with a supportive community committed to seeing all students succeed in college and beyond.

Dining Services
Offering everything from traditional fare to international entrees and make-your-own dishes, our Dining Centers offer up everything you could want and more. With mobile ordering, to-go and late-night options, they're a great place to grab nourishment, catch up with friends, or relax with a cup of coffee and study.

Learning Communities & Themed Communities
Learning and Themed Communities are open to any interested student during their first year at UNL. Learning Communities focus on academic majors or pre-professional career paths, while Themed Communities are organized around interest or affinity. Students in Learning Communities take 1-3 shared courses together, whereas students in Themed Communities do not have a course requirement. To apply for membership in a Learning or Themed Community, complete the short application as part of the Housing Application.

Fraternity and Sorority Living Units
If you’re interested in joining a fraternity or sorority with a living unit, you have another option to consider when it comes to living on campus. After joining, first-year fraternity members have the option of living in a fraternity chapter house. First-year sorority members live in the residence halls but may join a chapter during primary recruitment the week before fall classes begin. They typically live in the sorority house during their second year on campus.
