The Titanic Survivors Book Club, a new novel from Timothy Schaffert, was released on April 2 and became a national bestseller in its first week of publication on the lists of USA Today, American Booksellers Association, and the Midwest Independent Booksellers Association.
Schaffert will read from the novel on April 23 at 6 p.m. at Indigo Bridge Bookstore.
The story follows the Titanic librarian who opens a bookshop in Paris where he meets a secret society of survivors. Learn more on publisher Penguin Random House's website.
Schaffert is Adele Hall Chair of English in the Department of English and director of the Creative Writing Program. His previous novel, The Perfume Thief," was selected by Penguin Random House International for the One World One Book program.
