UNIVERSITY HOUSING EARLY CHECK-IN POLICY

Cornhusker Marching Band candidates living in University Housing will be moving into residence halls before the official housing move-in dates. University Housing will assign you a move-in time. Times will be emailed to you in early August.

The early move-in fee is $25.00 per day until your housing contract takes effect on August 18. The early move-in fee is your responsibility and will be added to your student account.

UNIVERSITY HOUSING

All band candidates living in University owned residence halls during the fall semester may move into their assigned room on their band camp report date as outlined on this page and in the Band Camp schedule.

Marching Band candidates may stay in their assigned residence hall room after Sunday, August 18 even if they are not on the final roster.

Band candidates not living in a University residence hall must make their own arrangements for their own off-campus lodging.

RESIDENCE HALL CHECK-IN

Brass and woodwind leadership and all percussion candidates moving into a residence hall on Thursday, August 15 will have to find storage space during the day for the items you plan to move into your room. You'll be moving into your residence hall Thursday evening, however, band camp work sessions will take place throughout the day. Summer session students are in the process of checking out of the residence halls during the day on Thursday. Storage is NOT available in the residence halls or in Westbrook Music Building.

We realize that the first few days of Band Camp and moving into a new residence is stressful for you and your family. However, please remember you are representing the band program at all times. Courtesy to others in your daily transactions is a requirement. The Housing Office and their employees are providing a special service to band candidates by allowing you to check in early. Most college bands do not enjoy this perk. Please do not abuse this privilege or the staff providing this service.
