Jeannette E. Jones, Happold Professor of History and Ethnic Studies, received the 2024 Women and Gender Justice Award from the Women's and Gender Studies (WGS) Program.

The annual award recognizes a WGS faculty member who has contributed significantly to their field of study or the broader community through service or leadership to advance justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. It is the product of the generosity of Helen Moore, professor emerita of the Department of Sociology and a past faculty member and director of WGS. She established this award, as well as the Racial and Indigenous Justice Award for the Institute for Ethnic Studies, to recognize faculty work toward social justice.

Jones is also the director of the Nineteenth Century Studies Program.

Congratulations to Jones!
